Trouble in Trafalgar Square

Police choose to extinguish bonfires in Trafalgar Square after the Mass demonstrations against George Bush. Protesters become annoyed and force police away from the square. Brian Haw remonstrates with protesters for trashing the square (Brian has been holding a peace vigil ouside Parliament for 29 months).

boo, my face. As much as i am proud to have got the chief inspector of the met with a cool cuppa on the head. I am bit gutted that my kite wasn't blurred. I also want to thank all the people who helped me. It was wonderful to see and be part of something so significant. people are starting to realise that direct action is the only way forward.

I couldn't tell from the video I shot exactly who threw the tea, but since it was done right in front of 2 cops I thought there wouldn't be much harm in showing it.

One of the points of direct action is that you're willing to stand up and be counted, and blurring faces out sort of detracts from that. If you want though, I'll repost a version minus tea-chucking and arrest, and ask an admin to remove the current copy.
