Each year, the City of London is the venue for a multitude of traditional and modern ceremonial occasions. The Lord Mayor is host to Royalty, Heads of State and other VIPs. The Mounted Police play a vital role providing reassurance, security and visible presence.
Sponsorship Opportunities
The cost of maintaining Police horses to the exacting standards required for these duties is costly. Some years ago, the Force was fortunate to be able to secure sponsorship funding from the HSBC bank to contribute to maintenance and development of our police horses.
With this contribution the Mounted Police have gone from strength to strength and in the months ahead we weill see the impressive deployment of several new horses competing to achieve the high standards of their predessors..
The sponsorship agreement between the HSBC bank and City of London Police will expire in October 2003.
