Planes spotted? Another attack coming?

sm | 13.11.2003 11:18 | Anti-militarism | London

Rumours of US planes arriving on Airstrip One. The implication is clear enough, if it's for real. Have we any confirmations? Plane-spotters, share your views!!!

Skeleton report follows:

From the peace Watchers at USAF base Fairford and Welford in the UK.

Large numbers of US warplanes arriving daily, reminicent of build up
that
preceded military strikes on Libya in 1980's, Iraq 1998 and the Gulf
war.

Roughly a flying rate of one every 15 minutes, total 288 planes in 3
days.

Via intercepted radio transmissions it is thought planes flown in from
US
via North Pole.

Movement suggests US possibly preparing to strike somewhere Middle East
in
next 7 - 10 days.

The facts here are wrong ! The planes were spotted in Scotland,
not Fairford/Welford. And it's a bit of a outdated story now !

For the full story, see
 http://www.fairfordpeacewatch.com/ScottishCNDalert.html

I think this article should be removed as the facts are wrong !

Don't know what other Indy folk think about removing this...but the comment above links to the site which very clearly explains the origin of this 'story' and points out that it is not linke dto Fairford. The only problem might be if people read the article and not the comment, in which case I do think the article is misleading if not actually infactual.
