Demos were a washout

25.10.2003 20:50

I was watching for news on Bush's visit to Austraia to see how much people over there hated enough to get out on the streets and protest against him. I'm sorry to say this but the demos against Bush's visit were shockingly bad, a complete let down for the anti-war movement, I heard on the radio that only a couple of thousand people turned up to demonstrate against his address to parliament, everyone who was against the war should be ashamed of themselves for not turning out.

I only hope that when he visits the Britain we can make up for it.

Yeah, but have you ever been to Canberra? It's in the middle of nowhere and the only people who live their work for various government departments (more or less). Bush was only in Autralia for 20 hours, a largenumber of which he spent asleep.
