President Bush is to pay a state visit to the UK from 19th - 21st November. Ananova report Tony Benn, a critic of the war in Iraq, saying that the people of Britain would be outraged by the news. "President Bush will not be welcome in Britain. His war has killed thousands of people and left Iraq in chaos and now Iraq's assets are to be sold off on the world market," he said. The Stop The War Coalition www.stopwar.org.uk says it will organise huge protests against Mr Bush's presence on British soil.
Bare Witness invite you to join us to remind Bush of what we regard as the biggest threat to us all - the forcing of GM crops and food on the world.

NO GM AMBUSH
on Sunday morning 16th November in central London.
Speaking at the end of the Friends of the Earth demonstration in London on Monday 13th October, former minister Michael Meacher said that that they were winning the argument on GM. Mr Meacher cited the Government's economic report and scientific review on GM, both of which raised serious concerns about the technology. And he said that the recent public debate had shown that people were overwhelmingly opposed to GM crops.
He added: "This is the freedom movement in our country now. There is no more basic human right of people than to decide what food they are going to eat. I think we are well on the way to winning."
In a message to Mr Blair, he added: "You have told us Tony that you are listening. What we want to know is have you heard?"
