The vast majority supported the war!

By the way no Iraqi Kurds or Marsh Arabs marched on your demo, because they have suffered terribly under Saddam's regime and so were glad the war took place to liberate them. Your agruments about imperialism don't stand up when America and Britain overthrew a murderous, corrupt and despoitc regime that had no respect for humanlife. Most people are glad that regime is gone and are glad that America and Britain are staying in Iraq to help the Iraqi people rebuild their country.

Wrong America did not support Saddam at all until 1980 when it was forced to back Iraq over Iran during the Iran, Iraq war to prevent the spread of Islamic extremism by the Ayatollah even then Saddam was never a proper ally of America he was the enemy of America's enemy.
The CIA organised the Baath party coup in 1963 yes, but Saddam gained power in Iraq through his own efforts and all through the seventies he was strongly anti-western and hostile towards America.
