The path to the future
Following on from the Iraq conflict the defence industry is facing a challenging time. There is a need for the defence industry to evolve, with much weight being put on the importance of partnerships and relationships around the world. This event will bring together senior industry executives and influential defence policy makers with the aim to not only see how to survive the future, but also how to shape it.

Trots as DESi
12.09.2003 11:53
They were a few trots at DESi, in the form of GR, and they did a bit, not a massive amount but a bit - which was welcome.
As informing STWC about a proposed DEMO: they read this site, and lots of tis members do, so they can vote with their feet.
STWC are more interested in being in control of theri pown demos and wouldn't normall officially support others. This is backward and reactionary of course, but that's what happens if you have an unacountable leadership working for their own personal interests, and not for the whole movement. But these sort of organisations dissapear because the membership/supporters realsie what is going on, and leave.
This is a shame but a fact.
Dr fact

one person who disagreed with the idea that had the stwc mobilised for dsei then it would/could have been closed.......a socialist worker paper seller, rathbone market 4.15 weds. afternoon.
dsei takes place every two years......the excel centre is a legitamate target between now and then.
over the next two years any or all of the exhibitors this years dsei will be a target for acts of randomness. we know who they are.
the arms industry should supercede oil as the primary target in the war against capitalism.
given that the armed forces will inevitably (today or tommorow) face the weapons of war sold this last week.......it shouldn't be too hard to get them on side.
viva la revolucion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
