Robert Newman book reading and stand up show for No Sweat

Robert Newman will be reading from his coming novel The Fountain at the Centre of the World (set in Mexico) at the next No Sweat London meeting. WED AUG 20, 7pm, the DOGSTAR, Coldharbour Lane, BRIXTON.

After the meeting Robert will be doing a stand-up show as a fundraiser for No Sweat and the CAT workers organising centre in Mexico. Tickets for the fundraiser are £7.50 waged and £5 unwaged / students from No Sweat at PO Box 36707, London SW9 8YA.

We are also taking a study trip to Mexico in September to stay with the CAT and visit the Volkswagen, Matamoros and Mexmode factories and to join the CAT taking theatre to the villages to teach about union rights, women's rights and the lessons of the Mexmode strike.
