Update on Disarm DSEI planning

I was over in manchester last week for a Disarm DSEI meeting. Things are at quite an early stage but groups from different areas have already formed and are discussing possible actions. The main focus are protests on 10 September, following a day of non-violent protest organised by CAAT on 9 Sep.

The idea is that affinity groups form an idea of what they are prepared to do, in conjunction with actions of other groups. Effectiveness of actions will obviously
require a certain amount of co-ordination, but suggestion is that a number of different actions around the area of the Excel conference centre in East London might be more effective than a massing of all protestors.

A West Yorkshire Disarm group looks a possibility with the meeting to come in Bradford, perhaps a local Disarm campaign could be discussed.
