I've added a link to Tony's banner proposal, hope it shows.
The new element on the grid is the round publish button, which I like very much, but would use the work "publish" instead of "write" because a) lots of people publish pics, even audio and video, b) people are used to the naming convention "publish", which has been used for 3 years.
some elements are missing at first glance: the archive navigation bar, and the upcoming events.
upcoming events should be layouted in a much more compact way than presently, but stay on the first screen a user sees.
there is no space assigned to banners for things that imc london might want to advertise.
the "united collectives" box should have priority before the global projects, i.e. stay abouve them. maybe, if you find a techie to work on it, as a drop down box to save space.
I think this proposal shows that the main work that needs doing to improve the aesthetics of the imc london site is a colour code - and of course people who fill it with content.
