We'd like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who had a hand in coordinating the meeting, writing and copying and tearing flyers, leafleting the whole world, and getting everything ready on the night. A special thanks to our friends at SOAS for helping arrange the room for us.
And now for the really good stuff. To help lend encouragement and to demonstrate how some of the work is carved up amongst the working groups, we decided to list some of the ideas that came up at last week's meeting and indicate which working group they've been assigned to.
In no particular order then:

The list is short because quite a few really inspiring ideas came out of the public meeting that for obvious reasons we're not broadcasting here. These ideas are being forwarded straight to the working groups. We've also indicated where some ideas might best be taken up by small, self-organising affinity groups; if you're keen
to get going, get some mates and be creative.

There's a suggestion to start a new group to focus specifically on pre-event campaigning, since there are loads of ideas and tons of energy. Interested? Email this list and let us know. We'll be arranging a meeting soon and will contact you.

One thing that we all agreed on: Widen the involvement!
In addition to the networking we're already doing, we need to get the word out to the trade unions, the anti-war movement, at conferences and festivals, nationally and internationally. Here's where everyone can help.
In terms of getting more supporting groups on board, we've drafted a letter of invitation. If you know of a group that might be interested, drop a line with their email contact and we'll send the invite. If you're involved with a group that wants to become a supporting group, then get in contact with us to join.
If you're attending a meeting, a conference, an action, a gig, a festival or indeed going anywhere that merits a little consciousness-raising please take prop. At the moment we have postcards you can take along, so get in contact and we'll arrange for you to get some.
We'll be updating the website with more materials to download and reproduce soon.
If you're planning to attend some of this summer's major festivals, why not take along a bit of info and give it out? We can't get you in for free, unfortunately, but your karma will be getting a good top-up if that helps!
Finally: get involved directly.
A lot of the working groups are planning meetings in the next few weeks and they'll be announced here. We're always looking for more input, more resources, and more willing hands to help us out. If you're not sure which working group(s) to join, feel free to email us and we'll try to help. If you have skills or resources that don't obviously fit with a particular working group, please contact us and
let us know.
