why did it take so long

Back in 2008 one brave HSE employee posted on Indymedia because she was concerned. As much as 800 children were missing from the HSE care and some ended up in brotels in Ireland or abroad and this brave woman went public with her story. But what happened with the wistleblowers story? was it verified or investigated? NO! no one did anything to make this public. The story sank away and from Indymedia.ie and no one cared. Finally after 3 years this horrible truth is made public. The shame of having to live with this, knowingly letting children suffer another 3 years and not doing anything. Any posts on the matter on indymedia.ie was hidden within hours of posting. Hidden like the children themselves. Hidden and forgotten. What is going to be done now that it has been in the papers? Hide it again???
