RESPECT coalition agree with Tory party!

Question Timer | 08.02.2007 23:37 | Analysis | Culture | Birmingham | London

On 'Question Time' tonight (Thu 8 Feb 2007), Respec's second in command, and Birmingham councillor, Salma Yaqoob chose to ally herself with the right wing!

Salma Yaqoob agrees with Thatcherite Tory Minister Ken Clarke on his analysis of the the police arrests of Muslims.

Yaqoob opined that the New Labour government attacked Muslims unnecesarily, despite murderous bombings being carried out by Muslims.

Analogies were drawn with Irish republican terrorists, who were overwhelmingly of Northern Irish, or sometimes Southern Irish origin. The motivation of Irish republicans was a free Ireland where they could live. Muslim terrorists are born in this country or immigrants here, and as such if they don't like this country, they are free to leave.

The gangster culture of the British police has lessened under the newer government of 1997, yet Whitehal still have their right wing claws in so-called libertarian groups as Liberty - who are controlled by MI5.

Are "the left" (read SWP) so naive that they think supporting conservative Muslims will help Marxism?

Or are they all controlled by the state to ensure that the BNP will have another healthy vote in May 2007?

Maybe we should all vote Tory because they've been so nice recently?

Do Indymedia have anything to say on the matter?

What I would ask the poster to consider is whether any of these things actually make any difference to working people.

There is clearly a degree of social mobility in the UK, and if you don't fit into a category anathema to the police or establishment, then there are opportunities out there.

It is well known there are many wealthy people of Irish, Muslim, Hindu, West Indian and African heritage.

So, is looking at Indymedia or Question Time really worth it?

The point is to make as many shekels for yourself and fuck everyone else, because I guarantee you that's what the people working for Indymedia, Question Time, Labour, Liberals, Tories, et al, are doing.

Don't get involved, because no-one else does! So fuck 'em.
