Archived discussion re cover-up over Alzheimer's - Borrelia link

I am attempting to archive here a discussion about the relation between Alzheimer's disease and chronic persistent Borrelia infections of the central nervous system. There is an official cover-up regarding this being conducted by the United States Dept of Defense and its satellite bodies within the public health service, chiefly the Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS). this is because Borrelia bacteria are of military biowarfare interest.
Countries around the world influenced by the US government are also affected, and the number of people who have contracted dementia as a result of this is unknown but potentially enormous.

Re-posting as accidentally omitted title in last posting - apologies.
Dear all
There have been some stunning new discoveries made re the involvement of Borrelia bacteria (cause of Lyme Disease and Relapsing Fever) in Alzheimer's.
The bacteria was found in the plaques in autopsy hippocampal tissue from patients who died of Alzheimer's. This was done with Molecular Beacon DNA probes , a state-of-the-art technique in detection of bacteria.
We don't yet know how large a proportion of Alzheimer's victims this concerns. But there are indications it may be susbstantial.
The researcher who made the recent discoveries, Dr. Alan Macdonald, works independently on a non-profit basis and has no ties to pharmaceutical or other corporations.
This is truly exciting, as it means that there may be a possibility of rolling back the disease using antimicrobial treatments.
In fact, there has already been a documented case, a physician, whose memory loss and inability to write began to reverse after he was given specialist antibiotic treatment to get rid of the infection.
Sadly, whenhe returned to his original doctors, they discontinued the treatment and he then deteriorated again.
After he died post-mortem brain tissue was found to contain Borrelia bacteria.
More details can be found here.

Hmmm, that's pretty interesting. Will read the article. Thanks.Diagnosed with ulcerative colitis in 2005 and rheumatoid arthritis in 1998. On Remicade since 2005 for both diseases. For UC tried sulfasalazine, Lialda, colazal and others which made me ill. Started 50 mg. Imuran July 2015. Use Bentyl, peppermint oil capsules and Gas-X which all help with various UC symptoms during a flare.

Another very important recent discovery by the same researcher, Dr Alan Macdonald - some patients with dementia have circulating Borrelia biofilms in their blood, coated with "particulate" (hard, insoluble) amyloid.
Biofilms are like "communities" of bacteria which share a common protective surrounding. It's extremely hard for the immune system to get rid of bacteria once they form a biofilm.
Dr. MacDonald used special specific stains under the microscope and found these floating biofilms are covered with a hard coating of amyloid.
This means they are capable of blocking off capillaries (small blood vessels) wherever they lodge, including the brain.
He believes that one possible solution might be a procedure called plasmapheresis, where the patient's blood is run out of their body through tubing into a machine that will filter out the clumps of bacteria and amyloid. As the blood flows out, the cleansed blood is simultaneously returned to the patient through another intravenous line.

Why not have MacD contact other big alzheimer's contributers?

I would like to share something with all of you, even though I know you'll find it shocking, frightening and upsetting. The silver lining is that it points to possible treatments; it points to hope.
The US Center for Disease Control (CDC) has been fully aware, for decades, that a proportion, at least, of dementia victims have had their dementia caused by Borrelia bacteria.
The borrelia genus of bacteria cause Lyme Disease as well as Relapsing fever.
The Molecular Beacon DNA probes developed by American researcher Dr Alan MacDonald have found, under the microscope, evidence of Alzheimer plaques in the brain which appear to be almost totally composed of Borrelia bacteria in biofilm form, coated with beta-amyloid.
He found this result in 1000 consecutive plaques viewed under the microscope this summer (2015), from five out of five autopsy alzheimer brain specimens examined.
Borreliosis has destroyed my family and I want people to understand that knowing that some cases of dementia, at least, are caused by Borrelia is not a signal to despair. It's a sign there is Hope.
Although it's not an easy infection to treat, Borreliosis can be treated with antibiotics and other modalities. Dr MacDonald has found amyloid-coated Borrelia biofim in the blood of dementia patients too, and believes that plasmapheresis may benefit some patients.
A German doctor who had to quit work after developing Alzheimers began to see his symptoms roll back after he was given intensive antibiotic treatment. Sadly this was discontinued, at which point he deteriorated and eventually died. After death, his brain was positive for the DNA of Borrelia.
The American Centers for Disease Control, based in Atlanta, has been aware that Borrelia is a cause of Alzheimer's for decades.
I have been subject to death threats, computer and phone hacking, etc since speaking out about the fact that Borrelia is a sensitive biowarfare issue and that that is the main reason for the coverup, which is denying help to multi-millions with the disease in its different presentations.
I want to say this - there is no "national security" issue that can justify multi- millions of sufferers as "collateral damage", including millions from the US itself, UK and other NATO countries which follow the lead of the United States' military core within its public health service (Epidemic Intelligence Service).
Aside from dementia, Borreliosis can also present with a clinical picture that looks like ME/chronic fatigue syndrome, multiple sclerosis, autism in children and many other different illnesses.
I was arrested in 2006, thrown into a psychiatric unit in London on the grounds that the things I say about Borrelia are evidence that I am suffering "delusions". I was threatened with powerful drugs and told that the drugs would be given to me in steadily-increasing doses until I stop saying the things I say about Borrelia.
I appealed to a Mental Health Tribunal who found there was nothing wrong with my mind, and absolutely no justification for my detention, and I was released.
One of the independent psychiatrists who saw me stated in his report that he believed my case had disturbing overtones of the "political misuse of psychiatry".
The Countess of Mar asked the government a few years ago to comment on the biowarfare research in Porton on Lyme borreliosis. Porton is the Uk's major biowarfare centre. This is recorded in Hansard. The government gave an evasive answer and following many meetings in Porton she no longer wishes to pursue this.
Now, the whole of the country's Lyme testing has been moved to Porton where it is under the Biowarfare scientists Tim Brooks, who denies the very existence of chronic Borrelia infection.
I think there are many people who are fully aware of the whole issue, even at the head of the campaigns supposedly defending Lyme disease patients, but they will not speak. And in keeping silent - they collude in the Denial which condemns millions of people internationally to horrendous suffering and sometimes death.
My children have been through hell, had their childhood destroyed by this disease and its coverup, and now, it seems, they must have their young adulthood destroyed too.
I will not shut up, because I have learned there is nothing to be gained from shutting up. Once they realise someone has understood the coverup exists, they never leave you alone. So there is NOTHING TO BE GAINED by keeping silent and colluding in it.
Would the United States CDC , which has actively persecuted doctors who try to flag up the seriousness of CHRONIC Borrelia infection of the central nervous system, like to explain what it was doing over the border in Canada in the 1990s to study the presence of Borrelia in Alzheimers?

I would just like to clarify what I was saying in the last paragraph of my post above.
I wrote that post whilst highly stressed because of relentless persecution orchestrated by those in the Establishment who are covering up the seriousness and persistence of chronic Borrelia infections of the CNS.
I am referring to persecution of myself, colleagues and people extremely close to me about whom I care deeply.
So I am afraid that due to being stressed I did not express myself clearly enough in that paragraph. What I meant to say is this:
The Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the leading public health body in the United States, went over the border to Canada in the 1990s. There they conducted secret research into the relation between Borreliosis and Alzheimer's Disease.
The reader must bear in mind that CDC conducted this research at the same time that they were telling the American public (and advising doctors in many other countries, such as the UK) that Lyme Borreliosis is an "easily-cured", somewhat trivial infection that almost never exists as a chronic disease of the brain. They also maintained that their existing blood test regime (two-tier Elisa-western blot protocol to detect antibodies) could easily rule out Borreliosis.
CDC and the public health establishment in the US and allied nations continue to maintain all these things till this day, even though these assertions have been proven wrong time and time again. The bacteria has been detected by culture, DNA-identifying techniques and other "gold-standard" methods in ill patients or their autopsy tissue, long long after supposedly "adequate" short courses of antibiotics or supposedly reliable antibody tests had "ruled out" this bacterial infection.
The CDC has never published the results of their Canadian studies into the relation between Borrelia and Alzheimer's till this day.
If they truly believe their own propaganda, which states that serious chronic infection of the brain by Lyme Borreliosis is virtually non-existent, why did they mount a study (albeit a secret one) in the first place?
The CDC is nominally a civilian public health agency. But all matters realting to serious infectious diseases ultimately are deferred to the military core of the US Public Health Service (USPHS) within CDC, which is called the Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS).
The public has no real knowledge or control over what this body, the EIS, does. It was created in 1951 during the McCarthyite era as an elite unit of military infectious disease experts committed to studying both defensive and offensive biological weapons, ie weapons of mass destruction which are now banned under an international convention signed in 1972 by the US.
Some of you may think that we should "keep our noses out of such things", and leave secrets to remain secret, on the grounds that if the military apparatus of our governments deems it necessary, then there must be a good "national security" reason for it.
To those who believe that, I would urge you to consider the example of Agent Orange, the highly toxic dioxin-contaminated herbicide which was sprayed all over Vietnam during the Vietnam War.
The US government was fully aware that the mass spraying was toxic to humans who came in contact with it, as well as the environment, almost from the start of the program. They were fully aware that the toxicity resulting from dumping millions of gallons of this herbicide on Vietnam would affect not only the North Vietnamese they were fighting, but also the South Vietnamese farming villages they were supposedly defending, and indeed, their own troops.
The result has been catastrophic for all those affected, and has continued to destroy the lives of younger generations up till this day, both the children of American veterans and of Vietnamese people. This is because the toxin is a mutagen (causes mutations in the DNA, including in the sperm and egg cells so that serious birth defects are passed down the generations.)
Was it protecting "national security" to endanger the health of what could eventually amount to a few million people, all told? Especially when so many of those affected were their own citizens?
Decisions like the one to keep saturating Vietnam with Agent Orange, and the one to deny prevention, diagnosis, treatment and truthful research into the reality of severe persistent Borrelia infection of the Central Nervous System, have no justification in terms of "national security" . Not when the number of people potentially damaged by this denial may run into the multi-millions.
I would urge anyone who has a loved one suffering Alzheimer's, or is a sufferer themselves, to do whatever they can to spread awareness of all this.
