It wasn't the same without you

Hi there Lefties, back home today after a great week working at DSEi. The obvious question from us in the defence industry is, where the hell where you lot ?

We have all grown used to see masses of unwashed, pasty faced, underweight, trustafarians hanging around outside the gates of the Excel centre and generally providing overtime opportunities for the local plod. This year I only saw a few of you - what happened dudes ?

In case you are interested DSEi was particularly good this year with contracts signed for Bahrain, UAE, Turkey and Poland on the show floor and new prospects identified for many other countries and organisations. I spoke to some of the staff who work at the Excel centre and they said how much they looked forward to DSEi every two years as it seems we are good tippers and polite customers (not many working class types in the defence industry).

Without the whining ugly women outside however the event loses its sparkle, in years past we've all been able to swap stories and jokes about some of the pig faced monsters in terrible clothes we've spotted on the way in, this year there was a couple of fat uglies on the Saturday before but we never saw them the rest of the week. Time of the month perhaps ?

Anyway roll on 2017 where I understand DSEi is going to be even bigger (this year was the biggest ever) so do please try and make an effort, the show is hard work and we welcome the light relief and enjoyment of laughing at you as we walk by.
