Chris Grayling caught on reporters microphone talking about Jeremy Corbyn

Stuart Elwise | 14.09.2015 10:24

Following on from PM David Cameron being caught making offensive comments about Yorkshire the Leader of the House of Commons Chris Grayling was early this morning caught in a radio car unaware he was on a live microphone in advance of an interview. His comments about new Labour leader and official leader of the Opposition Jeremy Corbyn speak to the arrogance of all Tories.

TRANSCRIPT

Reporter : Not long Mr Grayling, you will be on after the news and it should be around three minutes.

Grayling: OK thanks. Lot of traffic today, did it take you long to get here ?

Reporter: O not too bad, at least I'm not having to get into London to follow the pack trying to talk to Jeremy Corbyn (laughs)

Grayling: (laughing) yes I guess he's going to have to get used to that now, at least for a few months.

Reporter: A few months, why do you say that ?

Grayling: Well, he's not going to last is he? I'm no fan of the Labour party obviously but they are never going to win anything as long as that idiot is the leader and they are smart enough to know that. They are fortunate there is some time before the next general election so he can be ousted and someone with credibility put in charge.

Reporter: Don't you think he might appeal to some parts of the electorate ?

Grayling" Yeah, the idiots who think he knows what he's talking about, fortunately the vast majority of the British people are smarter than that.

Reporter: I see.. (mumbling) - ten seconds Mr Grayling.
