Why isn't there daily news about animals suffering in Britain?

Animalsfeeltoo | 10.04.2015 09:44 | Animal Liberation | Indymedia | Social Struggles | London | World

News of animals suffering is very rare and is still presented as if animals aren’t' being abused, tortured and attacked daily all over the country.

News of animals suffering is very rare and is still presented as if animals aren’t' being abused, tortured and attacked daily all over the country.

What should change to make the facts of the cruelty to animals as prominent and regular news as cruelty to and abuse of human children?

There are millions of animals in Britain that help human beings.
Why aren't they being shown the care they deserve and very badly need?
Given the worrying silence of the Royal College of Vets Surgeons on the plight of animals,
Isn’t it time that a really active programme with necessary support started so that cruelty to animals became a thing of the past in Britain?

Why should such an aim not be realisable?
How significant that the Judiciary is as indifferent to the plight of the millions of suffering animals as the rest of the institutions in this “Nation of Animal Lovers”!

Why ?

The reason is because every major animal rights organisation that has come and gone such as most obviously SHAC and NARN but also others have ended up as money making schemes for the organisers. This has led to supporters become cynical and less interested in becoming involved.

Typical zoocentric hypocrisy! What about the barbaric daily herbicidal genocide here in the UK? The only answer is to become a breatharian.

It is not hypocrisy to ask the question - how would you feel if attacked?

It is not hypocrisy to ask the question - how would you feel if attacked?

Clearly you have not had a life especially with animals so you posted that
callous comment.
Whoever you are, presumably you do have some experience of human behaviour and what many professional humans get up to when able to show their powers over a helpless creature.
Think about a helpless creature surrounded by p[professional killers.
The creature is in their grip and there is no escapee.,
Can you imagine what that must feel like?

In Britain, there have been Acts of Parliament passed from a few centuries back.
Why,do you think, were thsoe Acts passed in the first place?
The awful incidents of cruelty to animals was totally out of control.
So they passed one Ac t and then passed a few more.

In the current Century, there are a few more international statutes but the bottom-line is that animals are being murdered by professional killers.

Despite those statutes and the various forums promoting the need for real safeguards for the animals under attacks and despite a number of films - the animals are not being protected.

It is about the feelings of the suffering animals that the original post was authored.

How sad that you chose to deride that as a hypocritical attempt.

You couldn't be more wrong.

If it ever happens that you find yourself surrounded by professionals who are killers wearing badges as professional carers, you may feel what this is about.

Animals feel the pain and they must not be attacked.

If plants feel the pain then you should make a coherent case about that and there can be a discussion.

Attacking the expression of concern for the animals victims of murder and cruelty is not compatible with any claim of empathy or sympathy for suffering plants either.
