Time to call time shipmates !

With the organising collective now a shadow of what it once was and a few of us very pissed off with all the negs around the fair we have decided to call it a day. This year's event will be thelast. The materials, website etc will be a gift to any group that can show us it is capable of taking over

A shame but not a surprise

Anarchism and radical actvity in general has been in decline in Bristol for some time ( Bristol Indymedia also called it a day recently) so I am not surprised. The bookfair was one of those events people either liked or hated and regretfully the haters had grown a lot in the last few years. Discovering there was an undercover cop on the organising group could not have helped people's confidence in the event.

I hope others come along, perhaps a younger crowd, to take over. It will be shame if one more symbol of Anarchist activity in this country is gone for good.

Seriously guys, you need to go to the US and speak to the FBI. They'll teach you how to do a real counter-intelligence programme!

Re. the allegation of there being an undercover cop in the bookfair collective - name names of gtfo!
