The Hunting Act came into force on 17th February 2005 and since then we have seen year on year increases in the numbers of people taking part in hunting and the percentage of people who favour a repeal of the law.
I was out sabbing yesterday, doing all I could to stop this senseless slaughter of a beautiful creature and yet the number of people prepared to come out and sab with me are at the lowest in years. There was six of us when only ten years ago we had close to thirty committed individuals. The police don't enforce the hunting law, terriermen know they can use violence and intimidation with limited risk of prosecution and our videos are no longer accepted by the police as evidence of law making. We see hunts increasing in numbers and local business owners once again openly supporting the hunt.
Why are we losing this argument ?
