Nikos Romanos wins: ends hunger strike pending release for studys with leg ring

Nikos Romanos has ended his hunger and thirst strike after 31 days, as he petitioned to study university on release. The law that will be applied is that he will wear a bracelet to control his movement while studying out of prison.

Greek media and movement report the end of Nikos Romanos hunger and thirst strike after 31 days of global attention and actions. The decision to allow inmates free study is reported as being accepted by every politician involved, and to have involved the President Karol Papoulias in a direct appeal to Samaras.
