Where does this leave UK radical media, particularly with Indy UK not exactly thriving either.

Get off Facebook you bunch of t*ssers. Remember that corner of the internet that we calved out for ourselves in the late 90s (Indymedia, SchNEWS and others), which people seemed happy to abandon in droves about 5 years ago for the convenience of Facebook?

Facebook is a cesspit that has drained all life out of protest movements in the UK and beyond. Incredible that so many once intelligent folk have been drawn in and nullified, and for what?

Indymedia is a big part of the problem

Facebook is totally insecure and definitely a big problem, but Indymedia have allowed themselves to be played by trolls, seriously discrediting the activist scene in the process. IMC tolerance of a tiny handful of k-heads, psychos, undercover cops and neo-folk terror fantasists has caused enormous damage to the credibility and operational security of the radical movement. People are LEAVING activism because of this bollocks but IMC refuse to do anything
