Indymedia - the decline

The masses | 03.06.2014 16:42 | Analysis

It is now obvious to most people that Indymedia has become a fragile joke of it's former self. Why? Because of incompetence in it's leadership, and censorship to the point that only the views of the the editorial team are allowed rather than an impartial platform for news.

The BBC as a news service is more impartial than Indymedia. People who fled because of the dictatorship-style leadership than has enforced censorship that is way beyond what is considered the impartial editorial guidelines.

It is now a platform for a few powerful individuals to spread their limited views rather than what it was meant to be. Controlled, censored and manipulated. If you don't toe the party line, your content is out. Individuals that have used this trusted power and become corrupt, who disallow anything that does not fit their worldview.

Indymedia is now JokeMedia. People have fled to where censorship is not enforced. Even facebook is more open and transparent than Indymedia. So people have left. They've gone. They've departed. The audience have walked out and gone to view a better show that they are more interested in.
