There will be a demonstration of hundreds of people at Trafalgar Square, London today at 2pm to show solidarity with the Taiwanese young people occupying their parliament in protest at a trade deal with China that they feel will increase Chinese dominance of Taiwan, harm small Taiwanese businesses and undermine workers' rights.

A Facebook like page (www.facebook.com/wesavetaiwan) and event ( https://www.facebook.com/events/510815372362771/510842539026721) have appeared overnight and attracted support from hundreds of Taiwanese people living in Britain.
