The Extinction Festival at the Cat Hill Protest

Cat Hill Protest | 01.02.2014 22:49 | Climate Chaos | Ecology | Workers' Movements | London | World

The Extinction Festival will be held every weekend throughout the summer of 2014 at the School for Eco-Warriors and the Extinction Eco-Village on the site of Middlesex University at the Cat Hill Protest near Cockfosters north London England.

THIS IS A PROTEST SITE - EVERYONE CAN STAY FOR AS LONG AS THEY LIKE

The Cat Hill Protest is against the destruction of Middlesex University and five acres of ponds and ancient woodlands containing 400-year-old oak trees and protected endangered species like bats, great crested newts, dormice, and herons.

The Extinction Festival will start on the weekend of 26 April 2014 just before the Spring when the frogs and newts will come out of hibernation and the developers are likely to start destroying this beautiful natural wildlife habitat.

Local parents and school teachers want to transform the site into a free school so it will be called The School for Eco-Warriors and there will be environmental workshops at the Extinction Festival designed to educate the public about global warming and the threat of the extinction of humanity this century as a result of the burning of fossil fuels.

The School for Eco-Warriors at Middlesex University will be a protest site where new recruits to the environmental movement will be able to learn at first hand how to protect, repair, restore, and regenerate the earth's natural environment.
The Extinction Festival will be FREE for everyone who would like to bring a tent and stay for as long as they like.
