So come check out our new home for the social centre at 52B Well Street, E9 7PX, and let us know what you think (or how YOU can make it better!)

* The next open social centre meeting: Tuesday 7th January @ 7pm. To discuss the projects continuing from 195 Mare Street, as well as new opportunities.

* A public open day will also be taking place on Saturday 11th January for our ‘official’ opening, details to follow.

About Well Street Social Centre

There is scope to continue many of the activities that occurred at Mare St, such as free shop, social/info evenings, language classes, reading groups, meetings, art classes, people’s kitchen, queer events, screenings and much more. Confirmed opening times and the timetabling of activities will follow shortly.

If you would like to get involved with any of the above, or have other proposals for the use of the space, please send a message via the contact form on the website. Feedback is also essential; we welcome constructive critique.

Some items were not recovered from the eviction, such as furniture, kitchen equipment (especially cups) and clothes for free shop. We are also collecting tat for migrants in Calais. If you can donate, please get in touch.

The building is warm, bright, and will be accessible for wheelchair users.

that website is based in another city, and has nothing to do with the "people's kitchen" event at well street. no idea why someone thought it helpful to put the wrong link up, but perhaps the moderators could take it down?

Branding issue?

Might be a branding issue?
Looks to me like the Social Centre has a kitchen that they call the Peoples's kitchen?
Dunno
People's Kitchen looks like a chartity.
