With all the uncritical eulogies about Nelson Mandela it is easy to forget that life for ordinary black South Africans has, in many ways, got worse since the ANC attained power.

Here are some articles, from a variety of left-wing perpectives, that shed some light on the betrayals of the ANC:

Boris Johnson & David Cameron whitewashing Tory support for Apartheid

Watching the Tories queuing-up to whitewash the fact that their party bitterly opposed sporting boycotts of South Africa under Apartheid, opposed the Anti-Apartheid Movement, and supported Barclays Bank in its ongoing investments in that regime

The Federation of Conservative Students didn't wear "Hang Nelson Mandela" badges because they opposed the political shortcomings of the ANC, they wore them because many Tories were racists and in some cases borderline Nazis

Historical falsification

The story of Nelson Mandela may go deeper than we are aware. According to Wayne Peterson, a 32-year American career diplomat with a wider experience than most, Nelson Mandela has said in public speeches that it was the Christ who came to him and helped him out of prison to become the new leader of South Africa. An ancient name for Christ is Maitreya worn by a factual individual who is immortal and came to the everyday world and together with forecasts of world events like the end of the Cold War (that was no victory over communism) predicted and put into context Mandela's release in 1988 which was two years before it happened to Share International that report on the gradual emergence of Maitreya as the World Teacher since. According to Wayne Peterson, Gorbachev (the last president of the Soviet Union) and Mandela would be among the leaders to talk more openly about Maitreya who had appeared to a great number of leaders that although would be afraid of their reputation. There has been an international cover-up of the event of the emergence of Maitreya as much as of the existence of UFOs that have been replaced by various myths about justice in the market and all sorts of expert's fairy tales having led to a resurgence of a cold-war mentality including war on terror.
