Just what will it take?

James Street | 03.11.2013 21:23

We are starving and we are cold

Just what will it take?

We are starving and we are cold. We now have to beg for our food from charities using food banks. They are dismantling our national health service so we can't afford to be healthy. They are turning us in to slaves to be treated how they see fit.

So just how far can they push before we rise up and dismantle their ways and means?

Stop being such a victim. Yes life is tough right now but stop sitting there complaining and DO SOMETHING. Talk to others, set up a workshop for the exchange of ideas, work with a trade union.

there is a lot you can do

Standing up and proud

We are starving and we are cold.
>> Why ? The UK system provides both shelter and food to those in need

We now have to beg for our food from charities using food banks.
>> No you don't. Food banks by their very nature do not require begging, they are about donated food given by those with a little more to those with a little less.

They are dismantling our national health service so we can't afford to be healthy.

>> NHS funding has risen in real terms by 34% over the past 15 years with the last 4 years seeing the rise reach 36%. The UK has the best funded health service of any European nation with the exception of Norway.

They are turning us in to slaves to be treated how they see fit.
>> Who is ? How ? Are you paid for your work (do you work) if yes then you are not a slave.

As mentioned above you need to stop thinking of yourself as a victim of capitalism, and more an example of why capitalism exists.

It exists precisely because of people like you with your negative approach to not being able to buy your own own food or keep yourself warm.

I throw a couple of tins of catfood in the big bucket outside Tesco when I can so I don't see the problem here. Surely you can find something to burn if you are cold.

Look now I'm just a lowly worker like yourself, and yet I manage to have private health and dental care. I think the NHS is a wonderous thing.

Rise up? By the looks of it you couldn't get yourself out of bed at 06.15 like the rest of us even if your life depended on it..

O the irony,

A demo organisd on a media site owned by a US capitalistic company that will feature people wearing masks manufactured in a developing world sweat shops that will protest US capitalistic companies and developing world sweat shops.

No wonder the level of political debate is so poor in this country right now

It really don't matter

It really don't matter ?

Did you forgot to link to the politically pure event that you've organised, or would you It really don't matter prefer that people sat in front of the telly like they do every other night?

Why didn't you make your point about the masks at the planning meeting?

ooops
