The English Defence League are planning on marching through Sheffield on 21st September. We want to make sure that the EDL don't get to intimidate people and parade their hatred through the streets unopposed. Anti-fascists will be meeting by the First Start Building at the north end of Firth Park at 1pm.

Recent months have seen a sharp rise in racist activity. The EDL have organised violent demonstrations around the country, mosques have been attacked and there has been an increase in racist street harassment. In Sheffield, the EDL have sought to control the streets by vandalising a Muslim group's information stall and assaulting anti-fascist protesters.

The EDL are organising a demonstration against plans to turn the Pheasant Pub on Barnsley Road into a mosque, despite no such plans existing. The EDL claim they are only against Islamic extremism but are yet again showing that they see all Muslims as the enemy.

The EDL claim to represent the working class, but they have attacked trade unionists, anti-cuts activists and many other working class people of colour. They offer no solutions to everyday problems but just seek to divide us.

Why can't you stupid idiots just leave the EDL alone! All the EDL do is protest against Islamic extremism and Islamic terrorism. Something that you people never do because you wouldn't dare stand up to Islamic extremists incase they beat you up! Why can't we leave you alone? Maybe its something to do with the fact that you are a bigoted bunch of bastards persecuting a religious minority using the actions of a few extremists within that minority to justify your bigotry and stupidity and using this as an excuse to attack members of the Asian community. Maybe its the fact that the vast majority of whats left of your members are assorted racists/fascists/nazis with links to and histories with various extreme right wing groups like the BNP, NF C18 etc. Maybe its the fact that many people don't want a large group of drunken thugs parading through their city abusing passers by and smashing things up. Maybe its the fact as well the Muslim community you have targeted left wing groups, trade unionists and others fighting a genuine battle for a fairer society. Maybe its the fact that you are dividing working class society along the lines of race and religion at a time when we are under the cosh from the rich and in doing so you are stopping us presenting a unite front against the right wing rich and stopping them from taking our jobs and services and taxing us into the grace to pay for their economic catastrophe with our jobs, homes, services and even lives.

So stop your pathetic whinging and face up to the consequences of your actions, you've spent the last few years attacking Muslims, immigrants and left wingers and now its coming on top of you and you can't handle it. The militant anti-fascist community is growing, forming links across the country and talking to working class communities across all races/cultures. The heats on and you can't handle it. OK everybody, Cliff here.

Just got wind on the gramaphone that you have a problem with Hun in this vicinity. Nigel and myself just got back in from an engagement with bogies over the channel, managed to down three m'shmits but Nigel bagged a Hienkal. Fabulous performance and lashings of congratulations all round of course but the FO said get up to IMC as they have spotted Jerry massing off the starboard bow.
