Has the North East anti fascist movement been infiltrated?

Thomas Mensforth has recently shown up again in the ranks of North East anti fascists.

This Mensforth person since his recent return has been playing the part of the veteran anti fascist, with bloody tales of his past actions.
The younger anti fascists feel very intimidated by this large man, many having the feeling he is not all what he claims.

Now we find out he once wrote a pro Rudolf Hess song,
''The lonely man of Spandau''.

This is an interview he once gave:

"I mean what's the use of playing

Apparently he also wore Nazi clothing.
Maybe he had a Road to Damascus moment I don't know.
If so, that is some turn around from uniform wearing National Socialist to anarchist.

Many anti fascist groups in the past have been infiltrated by agent provocateurs.

I ask for a statement from North East anti fascists to clear this up, and reassure anti fascists in the North East.

Did he give that interview? I think it is genuine as is the photo of him wearing some sort of Nazi uniform, as is genuine him calling people ''n*****''.

If he has reformed, then he has reformed.
Though the questions which arise and suspicions because of his Nazi past are only natural.

Well this gave me a giggle. Mensi not who he claims to be? Honestly, this is an absurdity. Being the singer in a well-known veteran punk band, presenter of a well-known BBC documentary on Anti-Fascist Action, etc, the idea he's a fascist infiltrator is just laughable.

I'd go further and say this thread is the work of a provocateur. I'm curious to know more about these "younger anti-fascists" as I know those NEAF activists who were in South Shields the other week and I can't see any of them being daft enough to make these claims. Given the limited involvement NEAF has had with Mensi, and the short period of time he's been back in the area, I'd be curious to know why these "younger anti-fascists" should be suspicious of him. Have they met him or worked with him?

Right now though, this looks to me like some of the most cack-handed and ignorant trolling ever.

This post is either a nazi trying to smear Mensi or someone digging for dirt hoping someone might post something to use against him somewhere as evidence. As much as I hate censorship I think it might be an idea for IM mods to get rid of this whole post.

i'm not from the area i dont know the guy or what he wants,

but if there is doubt about the original post can it be either deleted or can the name be blocked out. maybe the dude doesnt care but if, as it seems judging by the other posts, he is a genuine antifascist he doesnt need his name being posted left right and centre.

They tried this on their facebook page before posting it on Indymedia. It is slander aimed at dividing the North East Anti Fascist movement, and is not true at all (0%, no doubt about it). Therefore Indymedia admins should remove this whole page. Check such stuff with the North East Anti Fascists first if you wish. I/we appreciate there is much to do, but this post is 100% a waste of time/bandwith. Mensi has been a timeserved militant anti fascist, and always will be a trusted comrade of the North East Anti Fascists.
