This week's show features stories from NHK World Radio Japan, Radio Havana Cuba, Radio Deutsche-Welle, and Spanish National Radio.
From JAPAN- The former head of the Fukushima nuclear power plant has died of cancer at age 58. Workers at the remains of the Fukushima plant reported a 100 fold increase in levels of Cesium in ground water heading into the Pacific Ocean. Political parties in Japan have clarified their positions on Japan's nuclear energy policy. China and the US met this week to discuss cybersecurity.
From CUBA- The Organization of American States condemned the hijacking of Bolivian President Evo Morales, with their ambassador stating that Evo's offense was being indigenous and anti-imperialist. The governments of Ecuador, Mexico and Argentina officially demanded that the US explain why it is spying on Latin American nations. Venezuelan President Maduro announced that his country is willing to give Edward Snowden asylum.
From GERMANY- A French court acquitted oil giant Total of corruption in the so-called Oil For Food program in Iraq. The EU and the US began Free Trade talks, with sticking points being the use and labeling of GMOs, growth hormones in cattle, and chlorinated chicken. Russia has given the UN evidence that Syrian rebels used the nerve agent Sarin against government troops. The hijacking of the plane carrying Bolivian President Morales was a top story this week in international news- here is a report suggesting that Morales and Edward Snowden should be protected by the EU nations, not rounded up at an American request.
From SPAIN- Bolivia has demanded that France, Spain, Portugal and Italy explain why they thought Edward Snowden was on the jet with President Morales. The EU is threatening to suspend US access to European financial and travel data. At the start of Ramadan the new Egyptian prosecutor has ordered the arrest of the leaders of the ousted Muslim Brotherhood, for causing the army to massacre over 50 protestors.

I was interviewed for an informative weekly radio show Mediageek, available at  http://radio.mediageek.net

All that plus times and frequencies for listening at home. It's free to rebroadcast, please notify me if you're airing it and haven't notified me in the last month, please mention the website if you only air a portion. If you just want to listen and have a slow connection, try the streaming version- lower sound quality but good enough and way easier if you don't have a high-speed internet connection. If streaming is a problem because of your slow connection, download the smaller file- it takes 20 minutes or less, and will play swell in any mp3 player application (RealPlayer, Winamp, Quicktime, iTunes, etc) you have on your computer.
NEW TIME SLOT on KZYX! This program will be aired on Sunday afternoon at 4pm (PDST) on KZYX/Z Philo CA, you might be able to stream via

NEW PODCAST!!!- feed://www.outfarpress.com/podcast.xml (128kb Highest Quality)

I hope you'll listen and air this if you're connected with a radio station. I am still wondering how to get financially compensated for the 25 hours I put into this program weekly- any ideas are appreciated. Any stations rebroadcasting this (or listeners) are welcome to donate for production costs. You can do so through the website. Many thanks to those that have donated! No Guilt! (maybe a little)

"Critical thinking is compatible with patriotism… Amnesia is not a requirement for patriotism... We must not confuse dissent with disloyalty. When the loyal opposition dies, I think, the soul of America dies with it."
