The revelations of police abuse of campaigners started off with a posting on Indymedia. It was later taken up by the Guardian.

Two of the abused appeared on the television recently. This morning they gave a long interview on Radio 5. It covers what happened to them, their thoughts about the abuse and what they are hoping to do about it.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b02z080h has the episode. The interview and discussion is in the first hour of the programme.

Thank you to the victims for speaking out. Keep strong. No matter whether you feel strong or not, you are and, I hope this does not embarrass you, you are an inspiration.

"Two women who were deceived into having sexual relationships with officers from a covert Metropolitan Police unit known as the Special Demonstration Squad say they're suing the force because they want to stop it happening to other women. Belinda Harvey and Helen Steel were targeted in the 1980's and 1990's. Another woman, known only as 'Jackie' tells Victoria Derbyshire how she had a baby with one officer who was already married with two children of his own."
