I was following the whole Manning trail but then I got distracted by this sudden malarky about the CIA man Edward Snowden.

How infuriating to have these two episodes arrive in the public conscience at the exactly same time.

Its almost like, erm, they were perfectly timed to coincide.

But have no fear, for Ciaran has declared solidarity with everything.

How can we possibly remain confused.

OK mate,

We'll take it really slow for you.

2003 millions march against the war in Britain
Implicitly inciting folks in the military, and out to resist, the war

British government says "you can have your march if we can have our war".
Most folks say "ok, as long as it is not in my name"
British government says "that's ok, we don't need your name" and goes and kills and tortures a lot of people.

Some incited folks say "if you're going to get them, you've got to get through us".
They take a risk and expose the war and surveillance state
They are abandoned by the politicians, and wannabe politicians, who led the British anti-war movement on cattle drives into a dead end.

One incited military guy raised in Wales ends up in a U.S. military prison facing life
One Australian citizen guy ends up surrounded by the Met in the Ecuadorian embassy with a Grand Jury indictment promising life or death under the U.S. espionage act
and a U.S. intelligence guy is presently on the run in a transit section of a Russian airport.

Cowards like you retreat into a piss poor attempt at cynicism
and treat the Manning trial or the Snowden pursuit as though it was manufactured for your entertainment

Most just avert their gaze, that's all that is required.
Why don't you join the herd with that option.
It would be a choice with a bit more integrity than your post here.
