London Stop G8?

Wow, that was pretty terrible....

The main day that's been organised for months by the 'Stop G8' meetings is over and in my and lots of other peoples' opinion it was a disasterous event for a whole host of reasons.

We really need to have a look at why this was, and that's going to involve some tricky talks and good long soul searching and self criticism as I think it wasn't really down to police repression at all, but our uselessness at organising and our refusal to listen to people that were passing sensible warnings and bits of advice on to us in the run-up.

This makes me really angry, right from the start some people wanted to discuss what to do and why and this was ignored and blocked by a number of people who thought it was obvious and didn't need discussing.

The organisers need to be held repsonsible for putting on a shit political event that put people at serious risk due to their bad planning and organisation.

And no moaning about how the problem was just lack of people working on it either, there weren't people working on it as the whole thing was fundamentally flawed and people tried to change the plan but couldn't so folks voted with their feet and stopped being involved.

maybe IM think it's too early for an autopsy
body is still warm, heart might still be beating etc

Dunno it's not something I would put a lot of energy into
but have appreciated them when I have attended and participated
even when getting bashed by the cops
(on the bench with a football injury presently)

I wasn't impressed by the lack of solidarity for those injured & jailed for J18 or 19?
in 99 .... which is always is a concern for me as a former prisoner
but have been impressed by a lot of the creativity and courage by lots f folks
and pissed off by the dickheads along for the ride

But as they say in Ireland "God loves a tryer and hates a chancer!!"
Good luck in life sifting through who's who on that score

maybe possibly
