Is this healthy ?

The new head of the BBC news operation is James Harding. Harding a Jew is famous for his robust defence of all things Israeli during his time as editor of the Times.

Harding said in 2011 that he "[believes] in the state of Israel. I would have had a real problem if I had been coming to a paper with a history of being anti-Israel... We wrote an editorial called 'In defence of Israel' during the Gaza offensive.

Is is healthy or morally correct to have an individual who is a) Jewish and b) such a strong supporter of the Zionist state as head of the BBC news operation ?

His appointment as head of BBC News was confirmed on 16 April 2013.
