CURO Housing appoints senior management consultant to oversee the development and sale of the charitable assets of the registered social landlord Somer Community Housing Trust.(SCHT)

Mr Charles Roger Thomas former senior director at Hallchambers Limited which specialised in the development and selling of real estate will be responsible for overseeing the asset stripping of 600 affordable homes held in trust by SCHT on behalf of B&NES Council

These 600 homes, along with 11400 others, were sold with sitting tenants by B&NES Council to SCHT for only £8000 each in 1999 under the large scale fraudulent transfer.(Mr Richard Lott District Auditor Public Interest Report) They are now valued with vacant possession on the open market at approximately £200000 each.

This scandal follows on from 13 years of right to buy sales by SCHT which has generated income of £100m of which £75m went straight to B&NES Council controlled by that poisonous two headed yellow backed snake the ruling Lib Dem/Tory time serving clique who, it appears to many, are only there to top up their pensions with the generous allowances on offer.

And now SCHT / CURO Housing’s team of bedroom tax collectors has been let of its leash to harass its 1100 victims with repeated demands by phone and letter to pay the tax or move out
