Greece: Call for international solidarity with Indymedia Athens and Radiozones of Subversive Expression 98FM

Since the 11th of April, Athens IMC and 98FM radio station are under repression by the State. In particular, the rector of Athens Polytechnic School, Simos Simopoulos, unplugged their internet connectivity, thus disabling access to servers hosted in university premises. While the authorities insist upon this gagging, the self-organized projects of Athens IMC and 98fm radio station claim their political right to transmit freely through the Polytechnic campus.

In a large assembly on Saturday 13/4 in Athens, both collectives informed people of latest developments, and it was decided to call for a week of nationwide and international actions of solidarity with Athens IMC and 98FM radio station, from the 15th to the 21st of April 2013.

Also, in Athens, a protest gathering was scheduled for Monday 15/4 by 9am at the central square of Zografou campus.

Spread this message to anyone willing to act in defense of antagonist infrastructure and freedom of expression. This is a political attack and will be answered accordingly.

Someone's calling on post-coup Mayday, thieves of this site, for Indymedia solidarity?

That's pretty funny.

Yes I saw the irony in that as well. I suppose the next stage is that somebody asks for help in combating antisemitism at which point ftp's head will explode :-)
