Margaret Thatchers playboy son Sir Mark has died.

The son of the recently deceased former British Prime Minister Baroness Margaret Thatcher is understood to have passed away as a result of a heart attack.

It is understood that Sir Thatcher died as a result of an unexpected heart attack at his familiy home in Cape Town South Africa.

Sources close to this reporter have informed him that SirThatcher had been suffering from a stress related condition.

It is believed (but has not yet been medically verified) that Thatcher took the news of his mothers death badly, and died of a stress induced heart attack.

A rapid response advanced paramedic crew rushed to the Thatcher family home and took Mr. Thatcher to the nearby private hospital, however he died en route.

Thatcher was renowned for being the "playboy" son of the former British prime minister.

He was heavily involved in amateur, and later professional motorsports.

He is however best known for his role in an attempted plot to overthrow the government of the small African nation of Equatorial Guinea in 2004.

A wealthy businessman; Thatcher had properties and business interests throughout South Africa, Britain and America.

He is survived by his wife Sarah Jane, his son Michael, daughter Amanda and twin sister Carol.

He was aged 59.
