We are currently looking for new volunteers to staff our telephone and email helplines. Full training will be provided and we look for women who are sympathetic to our principles and who are team players. We require volunteers to have a good level of English and they must be able to be involved for a minimum of 18 months. Training commences in April 2013 and runs over a series of evenings and weekends.

Who can volunteer?

OSARCC operates a policy of equal opportunities and welcomes applications to volunteer from women from all walks of life. We can currently only accept applications from females due to the sensitive nature of our work and the fact that the overwhelming majority of our callers are women who only want to speak to another female. We require volunteers to be aged over 18.

No previous experience is required as full training is provided but we are looking for people who can be empathetic and who are open-minded. Although we are registered as a charity and have trustees we promote collective working as much as possible and therefore require volunteers who enjoy working as part of a team.
We are particularly keen to hear from women who are able to volunteer on a Friday daytime. In order to represent the diversity of our service users we are also particularly keen to recruit women from BME communities, disabled women and older women.
For more information:

Please email recruitment @ osarcc.org.uk or phone the office on 01865 725311 to register your interest in volunteering for OSARCC or to receive further details.

The deadline for applications is Friday 5th April at 5pm.
