Need it be pointed that the only fascists and idiots in Cambridge last Wednesday were the ignorant lefto-fascists doing their utmost to stifle free speech? Ms le Pen scored 18% in the first round of the French presidential elections last year, nearly twice as much as extreme left Guardian darling Jean-Luc Melenchon. Given how predictably dire Francois Hollande is, there's every chance that she will make into the second round run-off in 2017. There's a bit of an issue with Indy mods (who aren't exactly renown for the subtlety of their editorial decisions) spiking posts that dare to suggest the EDL, NWI, Casuals etc might pose real threats to Anti-fascists

On the one hand I appreciate IMC don't want the newswire being used by Fascists to post stuff which might intimidate Anti-Fascists, on the other hand the arson attack in Whitechapel was no joke

IMC mods are respectfully reminded it was the SWP's refusal to deal with or even admit to Fascist attacks on left-wing activists that led to the "squads" being formed, that in turn led to the formation of AFA........

So, on the other hand there's a risk of IMC repeating the same mistakes once made by no less than the (intensely hierarchical structure of the) SWP Central Committee

Ever wondered why so many of us go out and do activism and put our lives and liberty on the line, rather than just sitting in our chairs and criticiing and belittling others and their efforts?

The answer is very simple, but nonetheless profound, and no doubt still very hard to swallow for those of you who have, do and will post so-called 'Trolling' posts.

It's because we care.

It's because we love our fellow Human Beings (and other species).

It's because we love the unique planet we are lucky enough to be living on and want it to continue sustaining all the diverse and beautiful life that it currently does.

It's because DESPITE all that the Shitstem and the cynics throw at us we still continue to strive for something better, both for ourselves and our children.

No amount of your nasty, small minded mudslinging will ever detract from this, not because we are (as you say) 'Liberal Lefties', or even consider ourselves somehow better than you (we don't, we all have our own shortcomings after all) but because we believe in something far more simple, profound and universal than that.

We believe in being DECENT HUMAN BEINGS.

That is why throughout history and for the rest of the time that Humanity (a good word) will walk upon this beautiful life sustaining planet we call Earth we shall continue to make supreme sacrifices, which at times will include our lives and our liberty.

However, it is unlikely all the so-called 'Trollers' past, present and future can understand this, or if they do, they choose not to, because they seek refuge in belittling and bullying others to try and attempt to make themselves feel good, or for some kind of facile and perverse 'entertainment'.

You will never beat us, only make us stronger and more determined to win, more determined to be Decent Human Beings.

We will always be here fighting for something better, so either join us or look in the mirror and ask yourself where you went wrong.

Thank you for the post. It may be well to remember that part of saving the planet and other species and races e.t.c. involves sorting out our own personal issues. It's not always 'somebody else's fault'. It was US who got us into this mess and work needs to be done out in the world but also on ourselves.
It's very easy to put the blame onto other people (I include myself in this). A small amount of soul-searching (and a big dollop of humility) never goes amiss.
That does take courage, i'm afraid.
