Hearing from the Iran Peace Delegation

Peace News editors Emily Johns and Mil Rai are currently on a peace delegation to Iran.

They will be speaking in Oxford at Peace House, Paradise Street, OX1 1LD on Saturday 23rd Feb at 3pm.



Anti-war artist Emily Johns and activist Milan Rai (author of War Plan Iraq and Chomsky's Politics) report back from their recent peace delegation to ran. Travellng with the Fellowship of Reconcilation USA, the two Peace News editors will have visted four Iranian cities and met Iranians from all walks of life around the country, exploring the realities of life under sanctions, and the feelings of ordinary Iranians about the nuclear crisis and the threat of war.

Emily Johns travelled to Iran in 2006, and produced a powerful exhibition entitled 'Drawing Paradise on the "Axis of Evil"', viewable on the Justice Not Vengeance website -  http://tinyurl.com/JNV-exhibition

Milan Rai, granted the Pax Christi Peace Award and the TGWU's Frank Cousins Peace Award, specialises in dismantling the myths surrounding the Iran crisis.

And did they speak to any opposition activists from the Green Movement, or indeed their leaders such as Mir-Hossein Mousavi? No? Funny that.
