one common struggle
one common struggle

One common struggle.

This June the leaders of the G8 (the world’s richest countries) are meeting in Northern Ireland. As economic crisis bites, and the planet burns, the bosses and their politicians are celebrating business as usual. Capitalism: a system that kills, exploits, and degrades the many for the profit of a few.

On June 10-18 we are organising a week of action and events in London. London is at the heart of global capitalism. The corporations, banks, hedge funds, and billionaires looting our world have names and addresses. They are in the glass towers of the City, and behind unmarked doors in Mayfair and Knightsbridge. London is the money-laundering den of dictators, the playground of the super-rich. But London is our city too. A city of hope, resistance, and struggle.

Capitalism is killing us. Unemployment, cuts, and the rise of fascism in the “West”. Poverty, colonialism, brutal exploitation in the “Third World”. War and famine for profit. Private prisons, police checks, CCTV to keep us scared and controlled. Life robbed of meaning and beauty, our dreams and our dignity for sale.

Don’t ignore. Don’t wait. For our friends and loved ones, for our communities, for our planet, for everything they’re trying to take from us. The time is now. Let’s come together, and fight. One common struggle.

Join us on the streets.

June 11: Big day of action in Central London.

June 17-18: G8 Summit, Enniskillen, North of Ireland.

June 10-18: Week of actions, talks, meet-ups, films, games, concerts, and more, all over London and beyond.

for one the organisation is crap.

also the flyer is shit, your using that some piece of shit clip art ive seen a million times before. you could find someone who actually has some talent and scope and could contribute, im sure occupy london/anomous have a network of really good designers who can come up with something better.

have you thought about inviting other organisations to demostrate who maybe arent anarchists?

who the fuck is going to come to London with a shitty flyer like this?

this is how the Danish did it back in 2010, although they had 3 years of planning, they made a good video...

one video appeals to Emo spotty teenagers, with Rage Against the Machine,

 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LXYvZaWlu7A

the other appeals to trustafarian climate campers with Franz Ferdinand.

 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DWEzLoUgXw0

anyway they are both good pieces of propaganda. why not make a video get the movers and shakers in Bristol/Brighton etc to edit it, and have Skeam etc on the soundtrack. explain to young people why they should come to london, and what to expect.

the trolls are evidently not happy about this.

blatant troll comments above, the first two comments that is.

people will come if they are keen to take part, they will know what to expect. expect themselves. any resistance to the status quo cannot be organised from the top down. you doosh bags. so what if its a simple flyer. tis ages away, 'better' flyers, whatever they are, will surely pop up when people get round to it.

fuckin trolls.

if i lived in england i would go!

however i got a feeling the event will be a bit of a damp squib, its not like the G20 in 2009 which has a massive coalition of people, you have to email every single other group you can think of and get them on the band wagon, all the various anti-globalialisation groups, whetever they are radical left or not.
and all the various enviromental groups, you need to organise meetings this week with various other groups.

Before or during the days of the g8 anybody can organise with a few mates to go smash a bank, burn a posh car, or whatever symbol of capitalism in their home town. Hang a banner, paint slogans, whatever ya want. You don't need to go stand in a kettle for hours in some massive policing operation. The city which causes the most damage gets the kudos.
