no offence, but im fed up with punk-themed gigs which are meant to be fundraising benefits, speaking from experience, you aint gonna make enough to cover the petrol costs of the bands playing or the PA, on 3 quid, and then make somesort of donation to the anti-g8 movement.

just make it an anti g8 infonight, with bands, a few hardened Bristol anarchos telling some funny stories on stage, and have some flims/riot porn playing in the background, treat it as a platform to suck new life into the movement not to tax on a really worn out genre of shit music.

"info-night" doesn't really have much pulling power outside the activist ghetto, more people go to "gigs". Those semantics aside, what you have described is what the night is, don't really understand the criticism really.

Though you'll have to excuse the fact it will be "hardened Welsh anarchos" rather than bristol ones... (though they are very welcome!)
