Keynote speaker - John Rose, Jewish academic, activist & author of 'The Myths of Zionism'. John became a campaigner for Palestinian rights in 1967 dring the 'Six Days War' and anti-Vietnam war movement shortly after participating in the first ever student sit-in in Britain at the LSE, in the same year he became one of 35 British students recruited by to carry out underground resistance work in South Africa against the apartheid regime documented in a recent volume 'London Recruits: The Secret War Against Apartheid', he was part of the first wave of recruits to launch specially designed “bucket leaflet bombs” across South African cities distributing thousands of leaflets to black workers during rush hour. He was later involved in the publication in English of 'The Ghetto Fights' an electrifying first hand account of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising of 1943 by Marek Edelman, a commander of the armed Jewish resistance>
