The Battle of Bexhill begins!

The Battle of Bexhill has begun!

Work has started in Combe Haven for a new link road between Bexhill and Hastings. Chainsaw crews have been attempting to fell trees along the route since early Friday morning, being successfully resisted by activists and locals on the ground.

Trees felling works are however continuing with contractors attempting to remove wooded areas in the valley and Bexhill town, the home of a wide range of wildlife with some sites of Site of Special Scientitic Interest.

This emergency meeting has been called for people to get an update with the situation so far and as an opportunity to discuss what we can do

In the meantime, if you are able to travel to Crowhurst or Bexhill in the next few days, please do. Visit the Combe Haven Defenders website for up to date info:  http://combehavendefenders.wordpress.com/
