Edl have announced thier next two national demo's one in Manchester one in Newcastle

We have just heard that despite objections from the local community against the plans to turn the iconic and historical building 'Benwell Towers' into a Muslim only private school, Newcastle upon Tyne city council have within the last hour ignored the objections and have approved the plan's.

Yet again we see the people elected by the people ignoring their constituents and favouring the islamic community. We know the North East EDL urged the council to listen to the community and reject these plan's but to no avail.

Therefor, we now announce that the second national demo of 2013 (after Manchester) will be held in the city of Newcastle upon Tyne.

Last time the edl came to newcastle the uaf made agreements with the police to march into a police kettle in response a group north east against racism sprung up to oppose the edl and not march into a police kettle

lets hope for simler this time

the fash have had better luck in newscastle and the north east than they have in most places. manchester will see them come unstuck. they have very little support there. they are pretty fragmented already but they have threatened a comeback next year. no doubt it will be as successful as the year of the infidel which saw the infidels disappear. fuckbugles the lot of em! happy holidays!

Newcastle and its neighbour Sunderland do seem to have a poor turn out of Anti-Fash, which seems to the outsider to becoming a bit of a fave area for EDL and indeed SDL outings.

I think it would be a major blow for the fash if they "loose" this stomping ground.

The fash come in on bus and train to stamp the north east as their ground.

I think we should organise mass resistance to the EDL in Newcastle and stand alongside our northern comrades.

Lets reclaim Newcastle from the fash and strike a major blow to the EDL campaign.

This public news board isnt the place to organise but I'm up for this.

Newcstle aint got much in the way of anti fash from what I have seen and a look up on youtube shows a slanging match between boneheads and from what I can tell UAF at a shopping centre with a few village bobbies keeping thr peace.

Lets get this idea out that we aint gonna let our northern cities be a breeding ground for the fash.

Newcastle has a proud history fighting facism they ran Mosley's black shirts out of town. It saddens me to think that the fash now have support with little resistance up there.

When we know for sure that this is a goer lets network the event and dedicate twitter accounts to it. Students and trade unions peeps get organising with your circles.

The more who are prepared to reclaim this town from the fash the better, lets put a massive show of unity on and place a massive dent in the EDL's ego.

They shall not pass.

The EDL are totally stupid to claim that Islam is a threat because most people now know that the 9/11 and 7/7 terrorist attacks were inside jobs carried out by the British and American governments. If the EDL had any sense they would demonstrate against the real terrorists who are the UK and USA governments.

Yes the previous poster claiming 9/11 etc was an inside job is +wrong, obviously, however it is clear to all except an EDL troll trying to blacken his name which side Maletesta is on, Malatesta's post makes his opinion clear - the EDL are falling apart, however to not oppose them in numbers in Newcastle (or anywhere else for that matter) would give them the stimulation to improve and regroup - thinking that there are areas of Britain where they are welcome. Opposing them, in when they are weak, in massive numbers wherever they (you) raise their (your) ugly heads gets the message through that they are shit and opposed by vast numbers of people.
Also - as Malatesta rightly says - there are small offshoot groups split from the EDL. These groups might be small but they are made up of some of the worst Fascists in Britain today (as, I suspect, you know). They need to be opposed also - to make sure they stay in the dungheap where they belong.

You keep saying the same bollox over and over for what seems like years.
Yet every week, you start off the same about how it is nearly the end for the EDL.

If it is nearly the end, then why do you need to keep saying it for a billion years?
Wouldn't it be more realistic to say, the EDL is declining. All this speak of the end is near is turning out to be untrue, because all i seem to read on indymedia for the last 12 months is you repeating the same message. So....... give it a break!
