Urgent Action: tree-felling to begin tomorrow for Bexhill-Hastings Link Road

Combe Haven Defenders | 14.12.2012 00:40 | Climate Chaos | Ecology | London | South Coast

This is an urgent call for support by campaigners against the Bexhill-Hastings Link Road. There is very strong evidence that contractors will attempt to begin tree felling on Friday December 14th. Please join us in the Combe Valley to resist this!

URGENT ACTION: TREE FELLING TO BEGIN TOMORROW, FRIDAY 14 DECEMBER

Several independent sources have now told us that contractors are going to begin tree-felling in the Valley tomorrow (Friday 14 December), and that it will be in the area around Adams Farm. We had a similar alert earlier this week, but our information this time is much stronger. We believe these reports to be accurate and strongly encourage all opponents of the Road to join us in the Valley tomorrow morning.

Our initial meet-up time and place will be 7am tomorrow, Friday 14 December at Crowhurst station. The 6.43am train from Hastings [6.46am from St Leonards Warrior Square] gets into Crowhurst at 6.55am. For folk in Bexhill, or coming from the Brighton direction, there as anotehr meet up at 7am outside the Pelham Pub in Sidley.

Bring water bottles, warm clothing (lots of layers!), chocolate, and waterproofs. Stay calm and peaceful.
