EDL leader among six hit with fraud charges

"THE LEADER of the English Defence League (EDL), Tommy Robinson aka Stephen Lennon, has been charged along with five people on a series of fraud charges.



Mr Lennon who is currently on remand at HMP Wandsworth for allegedly entering the United States illegally in September has been hit with three charges of making false representations in relation to a mortgage application.

Lisa Moore, 26, Newbury Close, Silsoe has also been charged with conspiracy to commit fraud and false accounting.

On Wednedsay Bedfordshire Police, on behalf of the Crown Prosecution Service, anounced they charged six people in connection with a fraud investigation.

The included; Stephen Vowles, 24, of Heron Drive, Luton who was charged with fraud, money laundering and drug offences. Neil Goodwin 28, of Chalkdown, Luton who has been charged with possession of criminal property. Anjee Darcy, 30 , of Hardwick Green, Luton was charged with conspiracy to commit fraud and false accounting. Elliott Gale, 28, Anglian Close, Watford, Hertfordshire faces a charge of money laundering.

All defendants will appear before St Albans Magistrates’ Court on the afternoon of Friday December 7."
