Successful advertisers take the message to the audience, they don't expect the audience to come to them, the more barriers (or layers of links) you put between your message and your potential audience, the fewer people your message will actually reach

Still, given some of the shite that gets posted on Indymedia, perhaps IMC's relentless failure to engage might in some circumstances be good for activist politics
