LaDIYfest Sheffield | 18.10.2012 19:46 | Culture | Gender | Workers' Movements | Sheffield
Sheffield’s anti-capitalist, feminist festival LaDIYfest returns for its second year this November, taking over venues across the city for a weekend of practical activities, discussion workshops, spoken word and live music. Events run from 2nd – 4th November with all funds raised going to local women’s charities.
Friday Nov 2nd - We will be hosting an event as part of the Off The Shelf literary festival featuring
a talk by Juliet Jacques (from 'My Transgender Journey' as featured in The Guardian). Juliet will be giving a talk on media representations of trans people.
Afterwards there will be music and drinks in the form of a LaDIYfest Sheffield opening party to ease you into the weekend. This will be at Harland Cafe from 7pm until 11pm and is open to all. We will be collecting donations for our charities on the door instead of tickets.
