No platform | 15.10.2012 10:53 | Anti-racism

counter protest needed.

The fascists of casuals united and the infidels are calling for mass mobilisation on November the 3rd in Liverpool city centre. This is a response to anti fascists and united Ireland supporters marching through Liverpool on Saturday. The fascists had a poor turn out and some of them were arrested. The demonstration is advertised on facebook and on the casuals page. The fascists are inviting all right wing groups to unite for the demonstration, anti fascists need to mobilise in Liverpool on November the 3rd to prevent the nazis from taking over Liverpool.  http://casualsunited.wordpress.com/2012/10/15/patriot-march-liverpool-nwi-sdl-cxf-nei-infidels-edl/

It is a demonstration against the IRA not a racist march

15.10.2012 11:14

You have got your information wrong, there is no racist march planned. The planned march is against the IRA. You must be a republican sympathiser who is trying to trick anti-fascists.

Get the facts right!

The actual facts

15.10.2012 23:17

The far-right have announced a demo because ONE of the approx TEN of their people who protested against the last Republican march in Liverpool was arrested. Yes the planned march is a far-right / Fascist mobilisation. Yes the people these Fascist cunts are marching against are just as bad - IRA supporters who've endorsed the murder of innocent people. No - when the Fascists can put their active supporters at a figure of around just one dozen, there is no way the far-right are going to be "taking over Liverpool". Liverpool Anti-Fascists lied through their teeth about previous demos not being linked to Republicanism so they really don't need to lie about this as well

History lesson for ya...........

Drop all the sentimental, dewey-eyed AFA shit about the glories of being bought a free pint in certain Irish pubs and try to see the bigger picture, and the bigger picture is Liverpool Anti-Fascists are walking into a trap AGAIN. Here's a screenie of the James Larkin Republican Flute Band (a band who openly support the indiscriminate murders committed by the Real IRA/32CSM) giving a thumbs-up on Phil Dickens / Liverpool Anti-Fascist's Facebook. FYI the Real IRA (sic) killed Protestants and Catholics indiscriminately - they weren't even "dividing" the working-class, they just killed working-class people en-masse, with no consideration even for religion, you mugs

History lesson for ya. Sure SOME sections of the IRA flirted with leftism - a kind of ultra-authoritarian Stalinism most Indymedia users would be disgusted by. SOME sections of the IRA allied with the kind of hard-line Communists who jailed, tortured and killed Anarchists during the Stalinist take-over of the Spanish Revolution / Civil War. MORE sections of the IRA are influenced by Catholicism than any form of leftism however, and some sections of the IRA display a kind of exaggerated superficial Anti-Fascism to distract attention away from the fact that the IRA tried to form a pact with the Nazis during WW2

"The victims included people from many different backgrounds: Protestants, Catholics, a Mormon teenager, five other teenagers, six children, a woman pregnant with twins, two Spanish tourists, and other tourists on a day trip from the Republic of Ireland"

FUCK NATIONALISM..... ALL NATIONALISM.... FUCK THE IRA

Liverpool AF are a joke

A bunch of self-serving idiots who care more about bigging up Phil Dickens ego than actually combating fascism. These are the same losers who abandoned a group of Antifascist who travelled up from Manchester to get attacked by the fascist at a Republican march a few months ago.

For those who don't know, Liverpool Antifascists basically abandoned a group of around a dozen young Antifascists from Manchester in the middle of Liverpool during a Republican march in February. The antifascists weren't there originally for the march, they were on a cuts demo but, upon hearing about the fascists appearance, Liverpool AF quickly left leaving the dozen antifascists alone surrounded by a fascist mob.

They're a disgrace.

Not bad for a movement Malatesta reckons has "disbanded"

These people are protection racketeers, gangsters, smack dealers and killers - they're violent capitalists and religious / sectarian bigots hiding behind a paper-thin veneer of political idealism.

Genuine radicals and idealists need to treat them with exactly the same level of contempt with which we treat the closet-Nazi motherfuckers from the EDL and BNP

strange comments

Some very strange and inaccurate comments above including a Real Antifascist who thinks posting peoples names on here is clever

The fact is this is going to be the biggest far-right gathering in liverpool for years. Those who can oppose it should and those who want to continue writing bitter comments on Indy then leave the to it

Here's a suggestion

16.10.2012 09:04

The Republican movement is more than capable of handling its own security, and the chances are any Fascist "mobilisation" is not likely to result in a significant turn-out, so..... Liverpool AF put a couple of spotters on the ground to phone thru' just in case, then focus on providing security for premises Fascists might attack, ie - News from Nowhere, and cleverly side-step Fascist plans to trick Anti-Fascists into being seen as supporters of terrorism

The photo isn't from Liverpool

I believe the photo is from when the BPP protested in support of Mark Collett and Nick Griffin, outside Leeds Crown Court in 2006

An interesting debate on Urban 75 (see link). Rather than answering evidence which shows how Liverpool Anti-Fascists and others lied about the marches in Liverpool, someone suggests criticisms of those misguided and irresponsible stunts were "either whackos or far-right mixers", only to be put in his/her place by Republican supporters who point out that "to try to force a march like that, which did nothing for community relations in Liverpool, through the city centre in the same period as the fascists were regularly picketing the Rochdale Nonces Trial was absolutely stupid", arguing that "republicans need to take stock and consider the consequences of their actions and whether or not they are seriously contributing anything to the fight against racism and fascism by marching for marching's sake... at a time when there is no discernable political advantage to be gained".

Another republican points out that "there's sometimes a tendency to ignore the fact that this is indeed Britain, and not the occupied Six Counties. Commemorations and marches have to be balanced with certain sensitivities" ("certain sensitivities" being a word-class euphemism).

Another comment states that "3 or 4 years ago it was only the representations... made to the Cairde organiser in Scotland and the direct intervention of myself and a couple of former AFA/Squad members from Manchester that prevented this same group from Liverpool applying for permission to relaunch the Manchester Martyrs Commemoration by means of a route that would have been suicidal for republicans and anti-fascists. What was their political reasoning then? They had none, other than that they should have the right to march wherever they liked and commemorate whoever and whatever they wanted to"

Despite these informed criticisms Malatesta goes on to describe similar (and similarly evidential & factually accurate) criticisms posted here on Indymedia as the work of "clueless fuckbugles", before someone who is clearly a good deal better informed than Malatesta responds by saying "I can assure you that there are fuckbugles on each side who are intent on pursuing their own selfish little agendas at the expense of working class unity in Liverpool" - I wonder who he was referring to that context? Phil?!

Malatesta, Phil Dickens & Liverpool Anti-Fascists

17.03.2013 03:29

Screens from the James Larkin Republican Flute Band's Facebook, confirming what's already known about these morons supporting the 32CSM / Real IRA.... followed, predictably, by the JLRFB's friends list, where these Real IRA supporters confirm their relationship with Liverpool Anti-Fascists

What's surprising about this evidence is not the fact that it demonstrates a relationship Phil Dickens etc have been lying about for ages, but the fact that any involved would be naive enough to think their critics could have been fooled so easily. What Malatesta and Dickens both need to do is to heed the cautions that are being given to them by Anti-Fascists, and stop dismissing that which they don't want to hear as automatically being the work of Fascists (seriously Mal, do you really think the likes of Diddyman NWI would even be capable of sustaining sentences, let alone arguments, of this length and complexity?)

The worst possible scenario (possibly unlikely, but still worth guarding against) is that the state is using the Real IRA to set-up a massive forthcoming terrorist spectacular, and that people like you are being used to suck the entire left into the political vortex that such an outrage would create. Either way, as you can see the JLRFB Facebook also contains items suggesting support for recently murdered Real IRA gangster & protection-racketeer Alan Ryan, who was an absolute fucking vicious criminal scumbag by any standards
